The webinar discussed what are the main environmental concerns of deep geothermal projects and what preventive measures are available or under development. It also suggested some best practices for environmental regulations to ensure geothermal activities can be carried out while fully respecting the environment.

The webinar was organised within the Horizon 2020 GEOENVI project, which aims to make sure that deep geothermal energy can play its role in Europe’s future energy supply in an increasingly sustainable way.
